UPPSC PCS exam pattern<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first step of UPPSC PCS preparation is to understand the selection process. UPPSC Combined State \/ Upper Subordinate Services examination has a three-step selection process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Preliminary Exam:<\/strong> Objective screening stage (GS Paper-I is used for cutoff determination, while GS Paper-II (CSAT) is qualifying in nature).<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    UPPSC PCS exam pattern for Preliminary Exam<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The UPPSC PCS Prelims has two papers. Both papers were conducted on the same day via offline (OMR-based) multiple-choice questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    UPPSC PCS exam pattern for Mains<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The Mains exam determines 1500 out of the total 1600 marks in the final selection merit list. All 8 papers are fully descriptive in nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has completely removed optional subjects. They were replaced by General Studies Papers V and VI, which focus on Uttar Pradesh-specific history, culture, geography, economy, polity, society, environment, and current affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
